Resting with a bit of birdwatching

Fuerteventura is a nice place for birdwatching. Apart from some great endemic species, there are always some other interesting birds to see. In recent years, the red-billed tropicbird has become a regular visitor, probably expanding its range from the Cape Verde Islands. What a beautiful bird!

Since the last spring migration period, a trio of Spoonbills is hanging around at the beach of Costa Calma, one of them bearing a colour ring from Denmark.  Hopefully, one day they can continue their journey to the north, or perhaps again, to the south???
